BUAHAN, A BANYAN TREE ESCAPE HIRES RUPP PUBLIC RELATIONS AS DACH AND ITALIAN PR CONSULTANCY
Munich | August 1, 2024 - Buahan, a Banyan Tree Escape, hires Rupp Public Relations GmbH as their PR consultancy for communications within the DACH and Italian markets.
With their expertise in the DACH market, Rupp Public Relations GmbH will be in charge of all public relations and communications for this region, with a secondary focus on the Italian market. The aim of the communications strategy is to introduce Buahan, a Banyan Tree Escape to the DACH and Italian markets, highlighting it as the resort for immersive, luxurious, and sustainable travel in Bali. Within the communications strategy, Rupp Public Relations GmbH will focus on maintaining and developing media relations and partnerships.
"The team and I are thrilled to welcome Buahan, a Banyan Tree Escape as our newest client!” says Natascha Rupp, founder and managing director of Rupp Public Relations GmbH. “From the moment I stepped foot in this hidden gem in Bali last November, I knew their commitment to sustainability was authentic and something truly special. We're very excited to collaborate with Lina Suryati and the resort team, and bring Buahan, a Banyan Tree Escape to German- and Italian-speaking travelers."
The No Walls, No Doors Concept
Hidden among the tall trees and flourishing environment, Buahan, a Banyan Tree Escape has been effortlessly integrated into its natural surroundings. Developed as a brand extension of Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, this Balinese resort encompasses wellness, sustainability, and culture into their brand, upholding their three pillars of: embedded with community, connected to nature, and discovering experiences. Buahan, a Banyan Tree Escape is exclusively for adults only.
Buahan is designed as a way to immerse its guests into its natural surroundings, with a “no walls, no doors” concept which combines tradition with sustainable innovation. Formed around different bales, spaces for community gatherings in Indonesian culture, the resort is based on traditional Balinese houses. Boasting 16 villas, an open kitchen, an open living room, a bar which uses local and natural ingredients, a spa, and other hidden areas, the resort allows guests to discover nature and traditional design while stimulating all five senses.
Balinese Experiences
The resort also offers unique experiences and spontaneous opportunities. From local festivals, to cooking classes at the open kitchen, to foraging for wild plants in the jungle, there are so many activities for guests to try. Perhaps the best experience is that of their award-winning Toja Spa, which incorporates wellbeing traditions from Ubud, the local village near Buahan, taking guests on a journey of self-discovery and healing.
At the core of Buahan, a Banyan Tree Escape, is the desire to connect its guests with nature. Located in a quiet area surrounded by jungle, views of the seven peaks of Bali, two stunning rivers, and a magnificent waterfall, Buahan is the ideal place to be immersed in nature. The indoor-outdoor living concept allows guests to cross the thin line between man-made and natural.
Dedicated to Sustainability
Not only is Buahan a stunning escape, but it is also dedicated to environmental responsibility and sustainability. To preserve the surrounding nature, local architect Gede Kresna was hired, whose speciality is sustainable Balinese design and environmentally friendly architecture. A four-month research project before building commenced, which explored the sociological, architectural, and cultural aspects of the property, allowed Buahan and Kresna to create a unique local experience for guests to understand the community and authentic balinese tradition.
As a zero-waste resort, all their food is farm to table, and locally sourced both from their 2000 square meter organic farm and from areas located no more than 55 kilometers away. Their menu is 70% plant based, using heritage techniques to cook local recipes from Balinese cuisine. Buahan works exclusively with locally owned creative brands to produce unique products and design features for their hotel.
