In 2027, ITB Berlin is shaking things up with their new Travel & Tourism in Motion campaign, created together with Rupp. ITB 2027 is set to take place from March 16th to March 18th 2027, spotlighting the innovation and developments that are shaping global tourism.

Rupp curated a campaign that would celebrate development and change within the travel & tourism industry. The campaign looks at the technological, economic, and social elements that have shaped the ever-changing global travel stage, examining key developments such as incorporating mobility solutions, sustainable initiatives, and changing travel habits. The world of travel is constantly evolving and ITB 2027 will celebrate these changes.

“My favorite part about this campaign is that we worked with real-life ITB Berlin exhibitors and visitors from around the world to bring the travel world to life,” says Natascha, Managing Director of Rupp.

“We used actual humans from China, Taiwan, Germany, Oman, Angola, Bhutan, Pakistan, and Poland to represent the diverse landscape of the travel industry, people who genuinely have a hand in helping the industry evolve. This is something I think is extremely important and special in a time where AI is replacing genuine human connection. We also got to shoot these visuals behind the scenes at ITB Berlin 2026, which highlights just how central the trade show is to the travel sector.”

Key Messaging: Travel & Tourism In Motion

The travel industry is constantly changing, expanding, and bending to the will of geopolitics, global conflicts, and new habits. The flexibility of the industry is what has inspired this campaign as it is an industry that is always “in motion”. The world of travel is evolving, with the companies, markets, and destinations involved always developing new initiatives for the future of travel.

The “In Motion” tagline is a reference to the fact that travel is constantly changing and always “in motion”. From key developments to smaller shifts in the landscape, travel is always bending, breaking, and transforming to meet the current landscape and beyond. With new technology, important innovation, and other initiatives, the world of travel looks different every year and ITB Berlin is the place to keep up with it.

Key Visual: The Dynamic Nature of Global Tourism

The key visual for ITB 2027’s Travel & Tourism in Motion campaign is one that reflects actual attendees of the trade show. The visual was captured at ITB Berlin 2026 with real-life exhibitors and visitors, once again highlighting how the trade show is at the center of the changing travel landscape.

The picture itself represents a diverse array of attendees from all parts of the world, showing how the international community comes together during the three days of the conference. The travel industry is extremely diverse and this image captures the unique qualities of the sector, demonstrating the vast array of people, ideas, and perspectives that come together at the trade show.

You’re Invited to ITB 2027

Mark your calendars because ITB Berlin 2027 will take place at Messe Berlin from the 16th of March to the 18th of March 2027. While the trade show is usually hosted earlier in the month, the change in dates not only demonstrates the shifting nature of travel and the flexibility needed in this sector, but it also represents the diversity of the industry. This is because the dates will enable all exhibitors and visitors to celebrate important religious dates before participating in ITB Berlin. ITB Berlin is a global platform and has a mission to represent all players in the travel and tourism sector.

Travel is always changing, but what will not change is ITB Berlin’s dedication to uplifting voices, communities, and participants within the travel industry.
